I keep looking at this picture and it’s so hard to write about this burger because all I want to do is dive right into it! But I must write, I must write, I must write…THEN I can eat.

This awesome Veganized Big Mac Burger is made with, and what just happens to be my number one “go to” plant based burger, Beyond Meat. Beyond Meat burgers have NO GMO’s, Gluten, or Soy. The main ingredient is pea protein. Plus one patty contains 20 grams of protein. Excuse me, PLANT protein. You know, the kind that’s good for you?

Being that I’m gluten free and vegan, it was like a dream come true when I had my first Beyond Meat burger. And now you can buy them in grocery stores nationwide. If they aren’t in your local grocery, try Whole Foods.

Don’t forget the lettuce, pickles, onion and Mac Daddy sauce. Thee Burger Dude used OgranixLA Mac Daddy Sauce. But if you’re not in Los Angeles, I’d find a vegan version of Thousand Island Dressing because I do believe that’s what is on the original Big Mac.

Anyway you make this, it’s going to be good. So go ahead, indulge a little. You deserve it.

Ingredients

  • 2 Beyond Meat Burger
  • Lettuce leaves, washed and patted dry
  • Onion, sliced
  • Dill Pickle Slices
  • Vegan Thousand Island Type Dressing Or any other you prefer
  • 2 Vegan Hamburger Buns
  • 1 or 2 Vegan Cheddar Cheese Slices Whole Foods Prefered Brand to Use.

Instructions

  • Cook Beyond Meat according to package directions
  • Layer bun with sauce, lettuce, onion, pickles, cheese, and "meat". Repeat.
  • Look at it for a few seconds then DIG IN!
